MC GOBS

Gobs has been hyping up dance floors for over 20 years. They first gained notoriety as a rave MC, in the early 2000’s. Known then as “Gobstoppa”, they held residencies with Toronto’s legendary Hullabaloo! and Goodfellaz event promotion crews, while touring throughout the U.S. and Canada, earning the title of “North America’s Top Rave MC”. There are few people that love music as much as Gobs, and they bring that passion to every stage, along with unmatched energy, and an infamous sense of humour.

Ryuko Pegasasu is a music producer & DJ based in Toronto, and the owner and founder of Galaxian Recordings. Specializing primarily in Eurobeat music, he hosts rave events called Nocturne Rave & GalaxiFEST. He has also performed for various events in person or online.

In addition, he releases multi-collaborative albums on CD called “Super Euroheroes”, which showcases his own music, as well as the work of many other producers and creators in the indie Eurobeat scene!

Newcomer SUTHL (Suh-Thull) began spinning tunes in 2019 when he started collecting music from Japanese Doujin events and internet labels. Heavily influenced by Japanese video games, anime and art, SUTHL discovered a passion for bringing colourful, high energy, and fast paced sound to the dance floor. With an appreciation for all things hardcore and hard dance, SUTHL's mixes feature a heavy focus on J-core, happy hardcore, and techcore amongst a variety of genres.

Playing his first show in 2020 (LUCKY 2B HARDCORE), alongside Anime North stage veterans Virus, DJ Dynamic, and icelevel the hard hitting high energy Japanese sound was well received. For 2024 SUTHL is looking to bring that same energy to Otakubaloo.

Symphette is a Toronto-based DJ and club rat with an insatiable desire for new sounds. With the collective Kawaii Bass, she plays local cosplay and convention events including YetiCon and Anime North. As a writer and editor, Aurora Zboch covers music, cannabis and rave culture for magazines across North America. She's worked with and covered events, productions, labels and independent artists to serve Toronto's dance communities. Since falling in love with electronic music a decade ago she's ready to make moves as a DJ with adventurous and 'thotful' mixes.

Tim Shannon is an underground rave promoter, DJ, and behind the scenes industry guy who has been an active member of the Toronto rave scene for two decades. Tim co-runs Acid Reign Productions where he organizes free raves for the Toronto scene. Tim loves all of the rave music, and is known for being a versatile DJ. Techno, jungle, hardcore, and house all have seats at Tim’s table. Tim’s favourite thing to do is share music and make connections.
