MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN aka MONSTER IDOL

Japanese Idol Group

The WACK-affiliated idol group formed through the TBS variety show “Wednesday’s Downtown” segment “MONSTER IDOL” in 2019. Produced by Kuro-chan, the five-member group consists of AiKA THE SPY, NAO OF NAO, REONA EMPiRE, MOMOTi N GALE, and HANAEMONSTER.

The group made headlines by performing at Tokyo Dome just four days after their major debut with Avex, marking the fastest achievement in history. They also won the Best New Artist Award at the 62nd Japan Record Awards.
From January 2024, they merged with TONAi BOUSHO, a group formed through the “MONSTER LOVE” segment of the same show in 2022, and began performing under the name MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN TONAi BOUSHO a.k.a. MONSTER IDOL.

On January 8, 2025, during a broadcast of “Wednesday’s Downtown”, it was announced that Kuro-chan, who had previously served as the group’s advisor, officially returned as their producer. Additionally, HANAEMONSTER rejoined the group, and they announced they would revert to their original name, MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN.

The same day, they released the music video and digital version of “Reload”, with lyrics written by Kuro-chan.

MAMESHIBA NO TAIGUN will be preforming and appearing for the first time in Canada at Anime North 2025. The concert is scheduled for Saturday May 24, 2025 at the TCC. Check the convention schedule for the location and time.

This performance has been organized in association with J-rock North Promotions Inc. and Avex Music Creative Inc/WACK.
