Anime North, in collaboration with SIDE6, Gunpla Montreal, and Gunpla Ottawa, is proud to present the Anime North Model and Gunpla Area! With the support of these passionate communities from across the region, we’re bringing you one of the largest Gundam-focused experiences in Canada.
We have a wide range of events in store for fans of the Gundam franchise. Join us for some Gundam and hobby-focused panels featuring discussions on the anime, as well as sessions designed to help you improve your Gunpla photography, building, and painting techniques—led by experienced builders from the community.
Put your knowledge to the test with Gundam Trivia for a chance to win exciting prizes. Looking for something more interactive? Take part in our Gundam Scavenger Hunt—solve clues, complete challenges, and race to the finish for rewards!
Interested in building your first model kit? We’ve got you covered. In partnership with PLAMOD, we’re offering a free trial workshop at our main exhibit area, where attendees can experience hands-on Gunpla building. Our Floor Specialists will be available throughout the event to provide guidance and answer any questions.
For those looking for a deeper experience, we will also be hosting paid workshops throughout the weekend, featuring series-specific Gunpla and other model kits. Please note that space is limited for all workshops.
We’re also excited to welcome back PLAMOD as the major sponsor of the Anime North Model and Gunpla Area.
Saving the best for last, don’t miss our annual Model and Gunpla Contest, held in the main exhibit area; please click HERE for more information. In addition to showcasing incredible builds from our community, this year introduces a brand-new “Tiny Scale” category, bringing the total to eight competition categories. Whether you’re competing or simply visiting, be sure to check out the public display of entries and community builds.
In addition to category prizes, we will once again present the prestigious John Martin Award for Best Overall Entry, as well as the Under 18 Award to recognize our talented junior builders.
