
Anime North 2026 - Convention Overview
Anime North is Canada’s largest anime event, and volunteer run, not-for-profit convention. Held this year on May 22-24 at the Toronto Congress Centre (650 Dixon Road) and Delta Airport Hotel (655 Dixon Road), it is a not to be missed annual event.
Location
This year the convention will be held entirely at the Toronto Congress Centre (650 Dixon Road), and Delta Airport Hotel (655 Dixon). Note that both Registration and all Gaming Events have moved to the North Building of the TCC.

Convention Registration
If you have pre-registered for the convention, bring your registration e-mail with you to the Registration Desk. If you have lost/misplaced this email, please bring some type of photo ID, in the name that the admission was purchased under.
The Registration Desk will be located at the Toronto Congress Centre, North Building, Hall J (see map below). Registration hours will be:
Note that your membership badge (which you will receive at registration) will give you access to all convention events in all buildings, space permitting, with the exception of food functions and some workshops which require separate tickets. You must also provide valid proof of age to attend 18+ events.
Your membership badge must be displayed at all times. There will be a $20 replacement fee for any lost convention badges. If you lose (or find) a badge, go to the Info Desks at the Toronto Congress Centre, located Hall D.
Please note that Cash Only is accepted At the Door, no credit or debit. However, on-line purchases can still be made at the convention itself.
Anime North has implemented an attendance cap of 36,500 attendees in 2026 to prevent overcrowding. Admissions may sell out before or during the convention.
Children 6 to 13 years of age are admitted for half of the corresponding Adult admission price. Children aged 5 and under are admitted free. Children must be accompanied by an adult 18 years old or over at all times at the con.

- Thursday: 5 PM – 9 PM (Note – Pre-Reg pick-up ONLY on Thursday. No new sales)
- Friday: 3 PM – 9 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 7 PM

To reach Registration walk past the South Building and enter the North Building through the entrance on the south side. Then proceed to Hall J.

Convention Hours
The general hours for the convention are below. Note that registration will open earlier, especially on Friday (see registration schedule above). Some events will run late night.
- Friday: 5 PM – 1 AM (Exhibitors Hall close at 10PM)
- Saturday: 10 AM – 1 AM (Exhibitors Hall close at 8PM)
- Sunday: 10 AM – 5 PM

Major Events - Toronto Congress Centre
The North Building will hold our convention Main Stage (a ballroom seating 2000 people), Registration, and all Gaming Events.
The South Building will host the following events:
Outdoor Events:
- Registration: Pick up your convention badge and pocket guide for the weekend. (Hall J)
- Weapons Check: If you have a costume prop, you must have it checked and verified as safe as Weapons Check to wear it (Hall J next to Registration).
- Gaming Hall: Hall I will feature our gaming events, such as tabletop gaming, LAN tournaments, GO, console and video gaming.
- Costume and Gaming Panels: In Hall H.
- Masquerade Registration: Tables in Hall H
- Cosplay Craftsmanship Competition: Tables in Hall H
- Gameshows: In Hall H.
- Opening Ceremonies: Come and kick-off the con!
- 404s Comedy Shows: An all-geek improv pop-culture comedy troupe.
- Anime Hell: Two hours of video weirdness with commentary.
- Fashion Show: Our fashion pageant.
- Kikuko Inoue and Honoka Inoue: Our Japanese VA Guests of Honour will appear on the Main Stage Saturday afternoon.
- Saturday Masquerade: Our epic costume contest. Saturday 7 PM. Awards presented Sunday 1 PM.
- AN Idol: Our idol singing competition. Sunday 2 PM.
- Anime Music Video Contest: Entries and winners of our annual music video contest.
- Pop Idol Dance Showcase: Attendees perform Asian pop songs. Come and cheer them on!
- Drag Show: Come and enjoy the performance by our guest kings and queens.
- Nagata Shachu: Japanese Taiko Drummers. Friday afternoon at Opening Ceremonies, and Sunday afternoon at Closing Ceremonies.

The South Building will host the following events:
- Vendor’s Hall: 400 booths of anime, manga, and much more, all for sale and waiting for you. Open all weekend in Halls F and G.
- Guests Appearances: See our VIP guests discuss their past and present work and other topics. South Building: Pinsent and Berton front rooms.
- I DON’T LIKE MONDAYS. Concert: See our Japanese musical Guests of Honour perform! Hall C Saturday night.
- Artist Alley: Approx. 400+ amateur artists display their work and wow you with their talent. Open all weekend in Halls D and E.
- Pro Plaza: Come and see our artist guests. In Hall D.
- Gallery Momiji: Displaying professional and amateur artwork alongside special guest displays, with pieces for sale at auction and prints for sale in the Gallery Store. Open all weekend in Hall D.
- Photo Alley: Amateur and professional photographers take your picture. Hall D.
- Industry / Guest Booths: Our guests and other conventions and community groups present what they are all about. Hall AB and Hall D.
- Gunpla Model Show: Mecha display, Model contest, and free model kit building all weekend in Hall AB.
- LEGO Display: Toronto’s ToroLUG Lego builders display their latest creations.
- Autographs: Come and get a memento of our Guests of Honour. Autograph times will be listed in the AN Pocket Guide. Hall E.
- Nominoichi: A flea market of 180 tables of used anime, manga, and assorted merchandise. Friday night in Hall C. Please note that before 8 PM, Hall C is only accessible from the outside doors on the east side of the TCC. (see the TCC map in the AN Pocket Guide).
- BotBrawl: Model robots fight it out for honor and glory! Hall AB Saturday and Sunday.
- Archery Tag: Try your bow skills with inflatable arrows. Hall AB Saturday and Sunday
- Charity Auction: An auction with great prize packages donated by our sponsors. Drop by and leave a bid, the highest one wins! Sunday afternoon in the Cohen Ballroom.
- VTubers: The Cohen Ballroom will host VTuber events and panels.
- Y2Gay / Future Funk Dance: Host Bear Sailor Moon returns for a night of nostalgia featuring upbeat sets from DJ FreshAppleSlices and DJ Disko Warp. All-inclusive celebration of 2SLGBTQI+ fans and allies brings neon vibes and Y2K classics to Hall C late Saturday night.
- Holly's Place (Kids Area): Relaxation zone for kids and parents. Play some games or see the LEGO display! Hall AB.
Outdoor Events:
- Otakubaloo: Dance away at our outdoor stage on Friday and Saturday nights with a series of guest DJs at our outdoor stage. TCC parking lot outside Halls AB / D.
- Itasha Car Showcase: Anime detailed cars on display. Under the TCC water tower in the parking area.
- Illuminair Entertainment Aerial Performer: Aerial hoop artist Miranda Tempest will perform for your amazement. Outside Hall D Saturday and Sunday.
- Nagata Shachu: Japanese Taiko Drummers. Saturday afternoon on the Otakubaloo stage, TCC parking lot.
- Truck-kun Rave: Experience the high-energy pulse of our signature late-night outdoor rave, with a rotating lineup of guest DJs and immersive lighting. TTC North parking lot.
- K-Pop Dance Circle: Celebrate 10 years of K-Pop spirit with high-energy, all-inclusive space for performance sets and open dance sessions celebrating Asian pop culture. TTC South parking lot.
Major Events - Delta Airport Hotel
Main events at the Delta Hotel begin at 5 PM on Friday, and 10 AM on Saturday and Sunday. The con closes at 5 PM Sunday. Your Schedule will list exact times for events.
- Panel Discussions: A hundred hours of discussion on anime, fandom, anime fandom, and everything else under the sun. Multiple tracks, please see schedule for full listings.
- Video Screenings and Events: Favourite shows, new titles, classics and special presentations like Totally Lame Anime, AMV Contest replays and Laserdisc Theatre. Multiple tracks, please see schedule for full listings.
- Workshops: In drawing, crafts, and languages. Mississauga, Ottawa and Hamilton rooms. Some workshops require ticket purchase.
- Lolita Tea Party: Sunday afternoon in Plaza C. This is a ticketed event.
- GhostDaDan Paranormal School Festival Interactive Café Experience: Ticketed café event.
Public Transit and Parking
TCC
To reach the convention via the TCC, take the Laurence 52 bus west from Lawrence West Subway Station, getting off at the City View Drive stop, or take the Martin Grove 46 bus north from Kipling subway station, getting off at Dixon Road, and walking west for 3-4 minutes to the Toronto Congress Centre.
As of May 15, there will be no subway service between Kennedy and Woodbine Stations Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24.
GO Transit
On Saturday May 23 and Sunday May 24, there will be no GO service on the Lakeshore West line between Aldershot and Union Stations, please see the link for recommendations of alternate travel arrangements: gotransit.com/en/the-future-and-go/construction-notices/lakeshore-west-construction
One the Barrie line, there will also be no service those days between Union and Downsview Park: gotransit.com/en/the-future-and-go/construction-notices/barrie-construction
Parking
If you are driving, there is free parking at the Toronto Congress Centre, however it will almost certainly fill to capacity, after which no more free parking will be available. Please note that there is no overnight security at the TCC, and leaving your vehicle there overnight is not permitted.
Discounted parking will be available at the Park’n’Fly at 626 Dixon Road.
