Pre-Registration is now closed. Anime North 2008 memberships must now be purchased at the door of the convention.

Admissions to Anime North 2008 can be purchased at the door of the convention, or ahead of time through the mail or our online registration site. Anime North merchandise can also be pre-ordered along with your admission.

On-Site Registration (Purchased at Convention)

The Registration Desk at Anime North 2008 will be located at the Toronto Congress Center just inside the main entrance doors of Hall D.

Single day and weekend admissions can be purchased at the Registration Desk. Cash only will be accepted; no cheques, credit cards or debit cards. Weekend admissions cover all three days of the convention; single day admissions are valid only for each day.

Please note that all taxes (GST and PST) are included in the admission price. Starting in 2008, the Ontario Ministry of Finance requires us to charge PST on our admission prices.

Also in 2008, Canadian and US dollars will be treated on par.

Child Registration
Children between 6 and 13 years of age are admitted for half-price of the corresponding adult admission, but must be accompanied by an adult 18 or over.

Children 6 and under are admitted free, but must be accompanied by an adult 18 or over.

Pre-Registration

Pre-Registration by mail is now closed.

Attendees can take advantage of lower prices by purchasing their admission before the convention. Pre-admission is for the full 3-day weekend only; single day admissions can only be purchased at the door.

The final deadline for pre-registration is April 18, 2008. Registrations must be postmarked by this date.

Single Registrations

March 15 to April 18: $55 CDN/USD

After your registration form is received, a confirmation form will be sent back by email or letter. Please bring a copy of this confirmation with you when you first arrive at the convention. Providing a valid email address will ensure a quicker response to your registration. Anime North does not trade or sell email addresses; they are kept confidential.

Group Admissions (10 or more people)
Group registration allows groups of 10 or more people to pre-register at special prices:

March 15 to April 18: $45 CDN/USD per person

There is no limit on the size of a group admission, but it must be pre-registered in advance; group admissions cannot be purchased at the door.

Upon the registration form being received and processed, confirmation forms will be sent out to all group members. Copies will also be sent to the group leader. Please bring these forms with you to the registration desk when you first arrive at the convention.

Thursday Night Pre-Registration Check-in

There will be a Pre-Registration only check-in Thursday night, May 22, at the Doubletree Hotel, to allow people who have pre-registered to pick up their convention badges the night before the con. Pre-Registrations can also be picked up at the Registration Desk during all three days of the convention.

Registrations to Anime North 2008 will NOT be sold at this event. It is for pre-registered attendees only.

The Registration Desk will be located in the South Lobby, underneath the Plaza Ballrooms. It will open from 5 PM to around 9 PM. Just bring in print-outs of your Anime North Confirmation forms, and you can pick up your badges.

Some video and gaming events will be running at the Doubletree this evening. Weapons Check will also be open in the South Lobby starting around 5PM.

You can also pick up badges for friends if you bring their Confirmation forms. Note that once you do, you are responsible for getting the badges to them; they cannot pick up another from the Registration Desk.

Group Leaders can pick up his/hers entire group's badges and registration packets, if he brings his own confirmation form to identify him as a group leader. If you are a Group Leader planning on taking advantage of this, please email your intentions to registration@animenorth.com , so we can estimate the numbers to expect.

Also, please note that for the rest of the con, the Registration Desk will be located in the Toronto Congress Centre, just inside the main entrance to Hall D.

Anime North Merchandise

Anime North T-Shirts and tickets to special events can also be purchased ahead of time. Simply note how many items you wish to purchase on the registration form, and include payment along with your admission fee. For group admissions, please indicate on the form which group members are purchasing merchandise (T-Shirts, brunch tickets, etc.). Tickets to meal events can be picked up at the Registration Desk; T-Shirts will be picked up from the Merchandise Desk.

Anime North T-Shirts
Anime North 2008 T-Shirts are $20 CDN/USD, and can be purchased through Pre-Registration or at the convention. To pre-order T-Shirts, note how many (including sizes: Small, Med, Large, XL) you wish to purchase on the registration form, and include payment along with your admission fee. For group admissions, please indicate on the form which group members are purchasing T-Shirts. T-Shirts purchased through Pre-Registration will be available for pickup at the Merchandise Desk at the con; they will not be available before the con.

Momiji Awards Brunch
An Anime North tradition- each year we present the "Momiji Award" to an individual or group of individuals who have made a significant contribution to anime, manga or Japanese culture. Join our guests on Saturday 11 AM - 1 PM for a hearty, all-Canadian menu of bacon, ham, eggs, pancakes and all your favourite breakfast treats.

Please note: you MUST buy a Brunch ticket through Pre-Registration to attend; tickets will not be available at the con. The Brunch is a popular event, so purchase your ticket early to be sure of getting one. Tickets will be available for pickup at the Registration Desk at the con.

Tickets are $20 CDN/USD for this buffet-style brunch. Only limited space is available for this event, and this is to ensure that it is not oversold.

Payment Information

For Pre-Registration, payment can be made using cheques or money orders made payable to "Anime North". Post-dated cheques are not accepted. PLEASE DO NOT add the year.

At the door, cash only is accepted. Sorry, no personal cheques, credit cards, or debit cards.

All NSF cheques will be subject to a $20 handling charge. There may be a slight lag between confirmation of our receipt of your registration, and your cheque being processed, so please do not assume the cheque has cleared until it appears in your chequing account.

U.S. ATTENDEES (if you are a resident of the United States)
If sending a money order, please be sure that it is the Pink, International money order. A standard USPS money order cannot be cashed outside the US.

Make sure that you have used the US, not Canadian, prices if you are paying in US funds.

Refund Policy

If you have pre-registered and cannot attend Anime North 2008, please contact Anime North Registration by May 2nd, 2008. to arrange for a refund. Unused pre-registrations will not be refunded after the convention. Refunds can take the following forms:

• A cheque for the pre-registration fee can be mailed back to the requester. This would take 4-6 weeks.
• The pre-registration can be transferred to another person. Please provide a complete name and contact address for the new person.
• The pre-registration can be rolled over to next year.

Mobility Access

If you have any mobility difficulties and wish to attend Anime North 2008, please check the box on the registration form asking for information on Mobility Access services. You will be emailed with further information. You may also contact access@animenorth.com
