General industry tables in the Dealerss' Room of the Toronto Congress Centre site.
Please note there are 4 locations for the Anime North Industry Tables. The General Industry Area in the Dealer’s Room of the Toronto Congress Centre Site, the Gaming Industry Table (focusing on video and LARP gaming only) in the Gaming Area of the TCC Site and Sheraton Hotel Site and the Doll North Industry Table (focusing on ball jointed dolls and doll accessories) in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Site.

What is the General Industry Area? Who can apply?
These are table spaces allocated for Corporations and For Profit Organizations; Government Affiliations; Clubs and Non-profit Organizations/Associations; and Conventions for sole exhibition of their products and services during Anime North 2017.
Anime North Guests of Honour are individuals or Industry Guests invited and featured by Anime North. Guests of Honour and Industry Guests are designated by Anime North invitation only.
Corporations and For Profit Organizations are defined as businesses that sell merchandise and/or services for profit.
Government Affiliations are defined as groups or organizations affiliated with or have ties to the Government of Canada or the Government of Ontario that wish to exhibit its group or services at Anime North.
Clubs and Non-Profit Organizations/Associations are defined as groups that provide a service to their respective communities for non-profit. (i.e. university anime associations and culture groups).
Conventions are defined as groups that organize events similar to that of Anime North.
Please indicate if you are a For Profit/Non-Profit Organization; a Government Affiliation; or a GTHA/Non-GTHA Convention with your request.
Where is the General Industry Area located?
The General Industry Area will be located in the Dealers' Room in the Toronto Congress Centre.
What are the dimensions of the booths in the General Industry Area? What comes with it?
Guest of Honour Booths are 10' x 20'. It comes with two (2) tables and four (4) chairs. Industry Area passes are negotiated by the guest as indicated in the guest contract.
Regular Industry Area Booths are 10' x 10'. It comes with one (1) 8' x 2.5' table, two (2) chairs, and two (2) Industry Area passes.
All booths will have piping and drapes bordering the space.
How do can I arrange for a bigger booth or to arrange sponsorship with Anime North?
You may purchase more than one booth space if you wish to have a bigger display booth. Multiple booth spaces are subject to availability.
I would like internet access or electricity drops. What do I do?
Anime North only provides the space for your tables. You will need to make your own arrangements and pay the additional costs directly to the Toronto Congress Centre in order to have electricity and internet access. Let us know and we will send you the direct link for you to arrange it online.
How much do the General Industry Area booths cost?
Regardless of what category, each booth space the costs $300. You may pay in monies (cheque or bank money order) or equivalent value in merchandise (product samples, services, passes to you convention) that can be used as auction items for the Anime North Toronto Sick Kids Hospital Charity Auction and/or Anime North Events/Contest prizes.
Additional Industry passes are $50 each (payable only in cheque or bank money order).
Anime North still has a table exchange program. However, Anime North will prioritize direct table exchanges with Conventions specializing on genres similar to what Anime North provides and anime conventions that are stationed within or at most one hour travel beyond the boundaries of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. The GTHA consists of the City of Hamilton, Halton region, Peel region, the City of Toronto, York region, and Durham region.
Direct table exchanges with Anime Conventions outside the GTHA boundaries will be on a case-by-case basis depending on whether Anime North will be able to have a representative to your convention. Please make sure to inform the Industry Tables coordinator to negotiate direct trades if your anime convention is outside of the GTHA.
Conventions hosting a different genre from Anime North genre (i.e. electronic show, wedding show, toy shows, medieval/renaissance fairs, etc.) or a convention of any kind stationed outside of the GTHA parameters (including Anime Conventions that can’t do a direct trade) will need to purchase a booth space or provide passes in equivalent value.
For Conventions qualified for direct trades, we require that you provide a similar table and the same amount of passes available for Anime North in your convention.
Anime North welcomes all forms of donations for the Anime North Toronto Sick Kids Hospital Charity Auction even if you wish to pay in monies for your Industry Booth Space.
What can I sell in the General Industry Area?
Only Guests of Honour are allowed to sell merchandise in the General Industry Area as negotiated in their contract.
You may give away promotional items from your table (i.e. flyers, brochures, product samples). However, please notify Anime North in your application if you intend to do so.
Clubs and conventions will be allowed to sell club and convention memberships to their events, as well as promotional merchandise promoting the club and convention. You must notify Anime North in your application if you intend to do so.
Anime North retains the right to decide if any additional sales are to be allowed.
I'm a Corporation and I would like to donate some of my promotional merchandise and/or services, what do I do?
If you are giving a merchandise donation, we will send you the address where you are to ship your merchandise donations if you wish to send them ahead of time. We would prefer that you send the merchandise ahead of time so that we would have ample time to advertise your donations to the Charity Auction on our website and social media networks prior to the convention. Please attach your business card to your donations if possible.
If physically sending your donation is not possible, please send us an an itemized list of your donation no later than April 30th, 2017.
For merchandise donations, they must be:
- Brand new, that is not used and in original packaging
- Relevant to Anime North (i.e. art supplies for artists, cosplay supplies, anime DVDs, anime/manga, figurines, etc.)
- Not outdated (i.e. video games released in the last year, recently released CCG Decks, etc.)
Same applies for service donations (i.e. gift certificate for a drawing class session, voice acting coaching, martial arts class session, film screening tickets, etc). If you cannot send the certificate ahead of time, please send us all details of your service, including a description, duration, and the number of sessions you are donating prior to April 30, 2017 so we can give it ample advertisement on our website and social media.
I'm a non-profit organization and would like to use Anime North as an event for our fundraising drive. Can I ask for a booth?
Anime North already supports Toronto's SickKids Foundation as our charity and we prefer not to dilute our own fundraising efforts.
However, non-profit organizations who would like to use the event as a fundraising drive are still free to submit a proposal for their fundraiser and we will decide on a case-by-case basis.
Anime North retains all rights to decide if your fundraising event is allowable. Please send your proposal at least two months prior to the convention.
My Corporation/Club/Convention was approved for a booth but due to unforeseen circumstances, we are not able to attend. What do we do?
The Industry tables are given on a first come-first served basis and often will have a waiting list after all the tables have been approved. Thus, due to the high demand for the Industry Tables, we request that you inform Anime North ASAP if you will not be able to send a representative to physically use your table. Failure to do so will result in automatic denial of future applications for your Corporation, Club, or Convention.
I don’t need a table for my event/convention, but can I send pamphlets or flyers for display at your convention? How can I do that?
