Anime North is an anime convention located in Toronto, Canada that celebrates anime, manga, music, games and all other forms of Japanese Culture!
Anime North will be the weekend of May 23 - 25, 2014 at the Toronto Congress Centre and International Plaza Hotel.
Weekend/Group admissions to Anime North 2014 are now SOLD OUT. There are still plenty Single-Day admissions, but the closer we come to the convention, these will start selling strongly as well.

In the heart of the downtown core, Kurakake Company is proud to bring you MATSURI, the 1st Toronto Japanese Summer Festival, a time of celebration of Japanese culture, music, art and cuisine. With traditional and modern live musical and dance performances, and a market featuring live arts & craft and the best of Toronto Japanese food illuminated in the lights of the city, this is the Toronto's first Japanese Matsuri! Performances include Japanese drumming by Raging Asian Women Taiko Group, Yosakoi dance by Sakura Mai, and modernized Japanese folk by Toronto's renowned Ten Ten. Special square features include a live spray-paint mural by visual artist Spencer Harrington, "Random", and two traditional Japanese Geisha models, among other activities. The festival is open to the public and free for everyone. Let's bring out our Japanese spirit! Cosplay is encouraged!

Anime North is one of the community partners for the screening of Kuiba, a Chinese anime film, on July 27, 2013 at 07:00 PM at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, TIFF Cinema 1. For an extended synopsis of the film, click here.
The film is part of the Toronto Animation Arts Festival International running July 26 to 28 at the TIFF Bell Lightbox (350 King St W, Toronto, ON) and Corus Quay (25 Dockside Dr, Toronto, ON).

Doubletree Hotel Rebranding

The Doubletree Hotel is currently undergoing a name change; they are returning to their previous International Plaza name. They have also been taking reservations for 2014, and are now FULLY BOOKED for the convention weekend (yikes!). They have already begun to use the name International Plaza, so if your hotel booking information has this name, rest assured you have NOT been moved to a different hotel.
