Cos-play/FASHION SHOW...Thingie
The Imaginary Theatre Association , ANGaming and The Toronto
Role-Players Association presents:
2008 Anime North Gaming
Cos-play/FASHION SHOW...Thingie =^_^=
The
Anime North's Gaming Department is running a Cosplay Contest for this
year ! ( yay us..lol) Anyone who wishes to display or have their costumes
judged are welcome to sign up! The only real catch is: It has to be from
a Game.
Entrants are to pick a time slot, and be at the judging table at the time they picked. From there, they will have their picture taken (several, probably) and be judged on their costume. The winners will be picked on Sunday, and be announced at the end of the Convention. Prizes are to be given out when time permits (people might not be around to collect their prize).
Rules
1. Costume -must- be from a video game, table top game, card game, or any other gaming thingie out there. They cannot be from TV shows (unless its game based), Anime, Cartoons, Books, etc etc. again the KEY is GAMING
2. Store Bought costumes (not commissioned, just store bought) are considered Display only, and will not be judged.
3. Commissioned costumes must be credited to the one who made it, and the Prize will be split between the creator, and the wearer.
4. All entrants must enter to have fun, and respect the other cosplayers. Sore losers are not welcomed, because that's just not cool.
Sign Up Times
Entrants can sign up on Thursday Night, Friday morning, and online. Sign
ups are done at the Pre-Reg pickup area on Thursday Night, and at the
convention. More information can be found at:

and our Online form can be found at http://www.formspring.com/forms/?290842-EelR60iQVD
and our Personal Injury Waiver Form http://www.theita.ca/ANGaming/Cosplay2008.html.
Entrants and Judging
People can sign up as individuals, or groups. Groups do not have to be
all from the same series. Judging takes roughly 10 minutes per person,
depending on how long the judges take, and how much distraction is involved.
NOTE: Pictures of entrants will be put up online for
all to view, so people can see who entered and such. Those who do not
want their picture up can request that they are not put online.
Judging is based on the Judges. Each one is different, and the outcome of the contest will be totally unknown until the end. Judges cannot enter themselves, and will not be biased towards anyone. Arguing with the Judges is not wise, as they won't really care and probably tell you to take the drama elsewhere. Entrants are welcome to ask questions about the judging (during their time) but may not receive the answers to their questions (hey, got to have fun sometime ^^). Judges will respect the personal space of each entrant, and will ask permission before doing anything.
For those who are under-age, a parent is more then welcome to sit in on the judging. If the parent made the costume, that's cool. The Prize will go to the child, and the parent will get the satisfaction of knowing they did a great job.
