Access and Information are now one department called CON AID, and will have desks in the Doubletree Hotel, Toronto Congress Center, and Renaissance Hotel (please see your Pocket Program for table locations and hours of operation).

Where do I go for Mobility Access Information?

The Information and Mobility Access departments have merged this year into a single department called Con Aid. You may ask for assistance from the Con Aid Desks located in the Doubletree Hotel, Toronto Congress Center, and Renaissance Hotel.

All attendees requiring Mobility Access services may receive a special Access Badge from the main Con Aid desk at the double Tree. This will signify to convention staff and volunteers that you are to receive Mobility Access privileges.

How do I find washrooms, elevators, and so on?

All washrooms, elevators, and ramps are clearly marked with signage. Only two washrooms at the Doubletree are easy for wheelchairs and scooters to get into and out of. Please ask the Access Staff at the Con Aid desks for help.

Attendees wishing to reach the Plaza Ballroom of the Doubletree Hotel may use the lift located in the South Lobby. This lift requires a passcode you will need to ring the hotel. There is a button beside the lift for the hotel, and if it is out of order. Use the phone to call the front desk which is by the pay phones. The Hotel may take a min to get there make sure you come early to your events.

What about lineups and seating?

It is Anime North policy to have reserved seating for the mobility impaired attendees at all major events (such as opening and closing ceremonies, the Masquerade, music videos, etc.), and for anyone with mobility access badges or buttons to be escorted by security to the front of lineups. Simply make yourself known to the security or room staff and they will show you in or direct you to your seat. For major or crowded events, such as autograph lines, Dealer's Room and so on, you will have a five minute period to enter the events before they open generally.
